Another Successful Lincsus Strategic Networking & Insights Event at Rathbones Edinburgh.

Lincsus was delighted to host another successful Strategic Networking & Insights Event in partnership with Rathbones at their Edinburgh offices, bringing together business leaders, entrepreneurs, advisors and investors from across Scotland.

At the heart of the event was a theme that aligns closely with the Lincsus philosophy of Connecting Expertise, Delivering Growth: the value of building an ecosystem of trusted advisors around a business to support sustainable growth and long-term success.

The event opened with a welcome from Lincsus Co-Founders Gregor Ross and Andrew Wallace, who highlighted the importance of collaboration, strategic thinking and access to the right expertise when navigating today's business environment.

Our guest speakers shared valuable insights across a range of critical business topics.

Sehar Shahid, Founder of 24 HR Pharmacy, delivered an inspiring account of building and scaling a purpose-led business, sharing lessons learned throughout an entrepreneurial journey and the importance of maintaining clear values while pursuing growth. Sehar's experience demonstrated the importance of surrounding yourself with the right people and expertise as businesses evolve.

John Devine of BGF explored funding and investment opportunities available to growing businesses, providing practical guidance on preparing organisations for future growth and investment. John highlighted the importance of understanding the funding landscape and engaging with experienced advisors who can help businesses prepare for investment and scale effectively.

A panel discussion chaired by Simon Dewar, Senior Investment Director at Rathbones, examined the theme "From Corporate Strategy to Personal Prosperity." The panel brought together expertise from across business, legal, tax and wealth planning disciplines:

·       Judith O'Leary, CCO, CMO, CMCO & NED, Lincsus C-Suite

·       Michael Jamieson, Private Client Tax Director, CT Accountants

·       Michael Cox, Corporate Law Partner, BTO

·       Bruce Saunderson, Senior Wealth Planning Director, Rathbones

Together, the panel explored the growing connection between business strategy, succession planning, wealth creation and long-term personal financial objectives. The discussion reinforced the value of drawing upon specialist expertise from multiple disciplines to support informed decision-making throughout a business lifecycle.

The final session saw Dave Milne of KC Group Shipping Limited share insights into supply chain resilience, highlighting the importance of effective risk management and operational planning in an increasingly complex global marketplace. Dave demonstrated how access to specialist knowledge and trusted partners can help organisations mitigate risk and build stronger, more resilient operations.

While each session covered a different aspect of business leadership, a common message emerged throughout the afternoon: businesses achieve the best outcomes when they have access to experienced specialists who provide guidance, challenge thinking and support decision-making at key stages of growth.

That belief sits at the core of the Lincsus model. Through our network of C-Suite executives, strategic partners and trusted advisors, we help organisations access the expertise, connections and support needed to unlock opportunities, overcome challenges and accelerate growth.
